The sample software is expected to be released on the LAPIS Technology Wireless Support Site. Top Layer

However, without the top layer the sensor is 0.8 mm thinner and the sensor measurements are more independent, as the top layer slightly spreads the applied force to neighboring sensing points, depending on the contact area and contact force.

Force Calibration

2024-08-30 - 技术问答 Without force calibration, the measurements are in digits (arbitrary units), which is sufficient for many applications such as gentle grasping and machine learning. With force calibration, the sensor provides measurements in Newton. However, please note that as a skin sensor, the contact geometry can influence the measurements. In particular, our calibration was done with a flat probe. Standard force calibration is free of charge, but individual force calibration is a paid add-on. With standard force calibration, we use generic parameters. With individual force calibration, we calibrate each sensing point individually, which makes the calibration more precise.
